Authorization to Release – Typically a form that allows for a lender to obtain any information related to a mortgage transaction. It is typically used to obtain information that is typically protected by

privacy laws and contains personal information. Examples of things obtained with an authorization to release includes Mortgage and Creditor payoffs, Insurance information, Payment Histories, Income and Asset information (including verifications such as employment and deposit). A lender can not obtain the necessary information to complete a transaction with out this authorization which is specific only to mortgage related items.
